The Vieux CarrĂ© (pronounced ‘vie-kuh-ray’) is a cocktail that was created in the early 1930s at the Carousel Bar in the Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans. The drink is made with bourbon, rye, Cognac, sweet and dry vermouths, Benedictine, and Angostura bitters, and is served on the rocks.
