The J&B cocktail is a Scotch whisky and dry vermouth mix drink made with one part Scotch whisky and one part dry vermouth. It is also sometimes made with a Benedictine or other herbal liqueur. 

The drink was first created in the early 1920s by Johnnie Walker and his head bartender, Bill Booth, at the Savoy Hotel in London. The drink is named for its two main ingredients, Johnnie Walker Scotch whisky and dry vermouth.
