Ingredients:
1 cup blanched almonds
2 cups water
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
Instructions:
1. In a medium saucepan, combine the almonds, water and sugar. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
2. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3. Remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes.
